Visit to Brunei 5th to 6th January 2017, by The Senatorial Friendship Group France South-East Asia
The Senatorial Friendship Group France South-East Asia, headed by the Senator President Gérard Miquel and accompanied chiefly by the Senator President in charge of Brunei, Mr Jean-Claude Lenoir,have made a two day visit from 5th and 6th January in Bandar Seri Begawan within a regional trip in South-East Asia.
The delegation were granted an audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Masna binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Ambassador-at-Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, this was followed by a lunch meeting with the Honorable Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, and the Deputy Minister, Dato Paduka Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Yusof. The senatorial group was received by the Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman and the Minister of Primary resources and Tourism, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Paduka Haji Ali bin Haji Apong. The courtesy calls with the Bruneian authorities have been cordially and warmly held.
At the two receptions organized at the Residence of France, the senatorial group had the opportunity to have talks with the most active Bruneian and French CEOs in economic fields. They could deeply discuss with them, notably during meetings with the French Bruneian Business Association (FBBA) and DARE (Darussalam enterprises) a governmental institution dedicated to the promotion of private sector in Brunei.
