The guest of honour along with Ambassadors and High Commissioners from respective nations joined the French Ambassador on stage to pay tribute to all fallen soldiers the First World War. Two bagpipers from the Gurkha Batallion of the British Army Brunei garrison played Amazing Grace.

The rest of the programme included an authentic French food festival and performances by singers of Relentless Company who sang French songs, in English and in French. These French songs are very famous in English but it is rarely known that, before being becoming international hits, they were originally French songs, composed by French musicians and with lyrics in French.
