French Bruniean Business Talk : first Business Talk of 2018

On 1st March, the French Bruneian Business Association (FBBA) organized a talk entitled ‘Family Enterprise: Governance & Succession’ at the Radisson Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan. It was the first talk of 2018.

For the past 18 years the French Bruneian Business Association - F.B.B.A has been active in promoting bilateral trade and business in the country. The Association disseminates relevant economic information and provides networking opportunities for its companies and members.

This first talk of the year, sponsored by Deloitte, began with opening remarks by Pierre Imhof, President of FBBA, and Christian Ramage, Ambassador of France to Brunei Darussalam and Patron of FBBA. Ambasador Ramage recalled that France has a long tradition of family businesses, some of which have gone on to become internationally known corporations. Michelin, Citroën, Peugeot, (whose products can be bought in Brunei), Hermès, famous for its high-ended bags and scarves, or Dassault Aviation, started their activities as small family businesses or workshops.
