His Excellency Mr Christian RAMAGE
Mr Christian Ramage was born in Paris in 1956, and was educated at the University of Paris-Dauphine, where he received his Master in International Economics and at the University of Paris-la Sorbonne, where he received his Master in International Affairs. He also holds a BBA in Chinese and Cambodian studies from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations (Langues O’), Paris. He also studied at the National Institute of Higher Defence Studies (IHEDN), Paris.
Over the 35 years of his career in the For5eign Service, Christian Ramage has developed a deep understanding of Asian affairs and of Security issues. In 2014 he was appointed as Head of the Diplomatic Security Service of the ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he served as Consul General in Karachi, Pakistan, Deputy Consul General at the French Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau and as first Secretary at the French Permanent Mission to the United Nations, New York.
Christian Ramage is married to Brigitte and they have four children, Damien, Armelle, Tiphaine and Sébastien.
